What is jujutsu?

Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art that includes strikes, throws, joint locks and weapon techniques. Jujutsu is good for self defense as well as it develops coordination, endurance and self-confidence.

Jujutsu trainings

We practise combat jujutsu, along with traditional jujutsu, boxing, grappling and other martial arts. We also actively participating in different events of other martial arts clubs, as well as organize seminars and courses ourselves.

Instructors

Dmitrijs Pudovs, 7 dan jujutsu, purple belt BJJ

Dmitry was recognized as the best instructor of the Latvian Jiu-Jitsu Federation in 2014. Along with jujutsu Dmitry practices judo, brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, kombatan and other martial arts.

In addition to martial arts Dmitry does fire juggling and is the founder and leader of the Fire Spirit project.

FAQ

You can start any time throughout the year. Before coming for the first class, please notify the instructor via the phone +371 29503447 (Dmitry). First training is free of charge.

Experience in martial arts is welcome, but not mandatory. You can start practicing without any experience as many of our current students have done before.

Have a Gi (kimono) or a sport suit and slippers for getting from the locker room to the tatami and back. We train in bare feet or special sports shoes for wrestling. Stepping on tatami with shoes is forbidden!

We have groups for adults only, so you should be at least 16 years old. Maximums age depends on your personal physical condition and interest in practicing martial arts.
